Just want to confirm to anyone who's wondering if Lenovo Y40-70 is capable of 1440p resolution, YES!
I had a Lenovo Y40-70 laptop for 3 years now and always used an external 1080p monitor (mostly a 23 inch) almost all the time (as anyone familiar with Y40-70 would know, the 14 inch IPS screen in the Y40-70 is no good).
Recently I wanted to switched to a

Review: Altura Photo Professional Flash Kit for NIKON DSLR
Review of Altura Photo Professional Flash Kit for NIKON DSLR - Includes: I-TTL Flash (AP-N1001), Wireless Flash Trigger Set and Accessories
I love learning photography and thought of doing some experiments with high speed
exposure photography. So wanted to get myself a wireless flasher with i-TTL
functionality supporting my Nikon D7100.
According to most Amazon reviews Altura Photo Pro Flash Kit
AP-N1001 seemed a good choice. Another reason why I choose AP-N1001 was

Replacement for TPMS sensor with 3rd party alternative (Dorman Brand)
This
is a review of a slightly different kind, but still in Tech realm!
It's about the Dorman 974-028 TPMS sensor (a replacement for some of the original equipment (OE) parts).
Available
on Amazon at (It says Chrysler/Dodge but 974-028 model works well with some
Mazdas too):
My Mazda 3 (model 2010, manufactured late 2009) was having a badly corroded valve stem and when I searched online found the old type of TPMS sensor didn’t allow replacing of only the valve stem.
One
thing you may want to check in your car tires is the valve caps, it’s better if you have proper valve caps with rubber gasket in them so it reduce the
possibility of moisture (especially salty moisture used for de-icing etc.)
getting in to valve stem and quickens corrosion.

How to Enable Auto Pop-up of Touch Keyboard in Windows 10
When I 1st got to update my tablet ( Toshiba Encore 2 Write WT10PE ) to Windows 10, main thing I was trying to figure out was how to make the pop-up touch keyboard enabled consistently. A must when you have no physical key board.
Because in certain places (in login screen, in Chrome etc) it automatically popped up but in others it didn't.
I tried out places like Keyboard and mouse settings but some how I missed (now what I see as) the obvious place, 'Typing' setting inside Devices menu.
So here goes the simple way to enable it.
1. Tap on 'Action Center' icon in the task bar (towards Right bottom of screen)
2. Click 'All Settings' icon:

Fixing Cisco VPN Client issue with adding wireless displays
I was trying to find a way to add a display wirelessly to my Lenovo Y40-70 laptop with a wireless HDMI adapter (something that works with WIDI/Miracast/Chromecast/EZcast etc...).
Most of the laptops/tablets came with Windows 8 or 8.1 and has intel graphic and wireless technology should support this.
(For more info on specific requirements you can check the link to intel at the bottom of this article)
But my issue was although my Lenovo Y40 had all the requirements (intel i7 processor, intel AC3160 wifi adapter, intel HD4400 Graphics and came with Windows 8.1), for some reason it didn't show the wireless display adding option!

Use Your ‘Resistive Type’ Touchscreen Right!

In today’s mobile market touch screens are used in phones, notebook PC and PDAs. The thing is there are various types of touch screens with their own pros & cons. One thing to keep in mind is those different types of screens acts differently and wants to be ‘touched’ differently.
Lets get a basic idea about their technology in brief:
Capacitive type: As the name implies they use the change of capacity to identify touched point on screen. These are used mainly in mobile phones and equipments such as iPhone, iPod touch etc. Usually have a good responsiveness to touch. Problem of using capacity is only some things such as human skin changes capacity of those screens when touched. In short, they are only sensitive to human skin and like elements. You cannot use thing like plastic pen (stylus) on that. And they’re also lacks precision point identification compared to others.
Resistive type: This uses the change of resistance of multilayered thin films on top of screen to identify touch point. This is commonly used in mobile phones and PDAs. This is sensitive to any thing that
